彩漆木雕鸳鸯形盒（复仿件）
彩绘木雕鸳鸯形盒，东周（战国早期）；原件现收藏于湖北省博物馆，大厦现藏有复仿件于长江厅；1978年出土于随州市擂鼓墩1号墓，已入选为第三批禁止出国（境）展览文物。这是曾侯乙墓出土的第1件文物，发现时，它正在水面上漂浮，宛如一只活的鸳鸯，漆盒腹部两侧绘有武士随鼓起舞和神兽持棒奏钟的图案，让人们第一次了解编钟的演奏方式，以及古代宫廷乐舞场景。彩绘木雕鸳鸯形盒象征着夫妻的相亲相爱，因为鸳鸯常被视为“匹鸟”，代表着亲昵和永恒。这种寓意反映了古代人们希望通过物品传递的美好祝愿与向往。
Painted Wooden Mandarin Duck-Shaped Box (Reproduction)
The painted wooden mandarin duck-shaped box, dating to the Eastern Zhou period (early Warring States period), was unearthed in 1978 from Tomb No. 1 at Leigudun, Suizhou. The original is now housed in the Hubei Provincial Museum, and the building currently houses a reproduction in the Yangtze River Hall. This artifact has been included in the third batch of cultural relics prohibited from being taken abroad for exhibition.
This was the first artifact unearthed from the Tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng. When discovered, it was floating on the water, resembling a living mandarin duck. On both sides of the box's belly are painted scenes of warriors dancing to drumbeats and mythical beasts holding sticks to strike bells, providing the first insight into how the chime bells were played and offering a glimpse of ancient court music and dance performances.
The painted wooden mandarin duck-shaped box symbolizes the mutual affection between husband and wife, as mandarin ducks are often regarded as a "paired bird" representing intimacy and eternity. This symbolism reflects the ancient people's desire to convey good wishes and aspirations through objects.

入斯广厦，煌煌华堂，鬱鬰楚风。青铜鹿角瑞鹤立，虎座凤鸟悬鼓横。大国礼器，编钟颂磬悬簨虡。镂垣雕壁，三楚神韵恢诡奇。上古篆文，屈子《离骚》刻其迹。其辞曰：“帝高阳之苗裔兮，朕皇考曰伯庸。”
湖北盛象，彰于京城。津梁枢纽，营于政商。吾等竭尽心力兮！亹然不怠。国之首脑，李君先念。兵之统御，上将华清。莅临于兹，广厦荣昌。国会代表，奥运健将。下榻于斯，宾至如归。
大厦首层，宴飨之厅。美其名曰：“湖北味道”，琼浆佳酿，飨八方之来宾。一樽“白云边”，增诗仙之豪气冲霄汉。二角“黄鹤楼”，助崔颢遣思乡之忧烦。已矣乎，世间甘旨，当属武昌鱼鲜。
临巅俯览，美伦美奂。
东毗首体，又有北展。珍禽异兽，聚于一囿。西邻紫竹院，修竹嘉木集于苑。南接银钱巷，运筹货币忙。北壤颐和园，复有圆明园。京师大学堂，清华北大人民大，军艺民大理工大。犹有国图，宛若我家。
喜逢新时代，天佑吾中华！壮哉大湖北！攘袂奋勇先，绾裤直往前。精神兼物质，文明同握持。世名同市利，吾等共赢取。
戊寅伊始，于今廿载。九九至一九，天长且地久。求索廿载，鼎革廿载，砥砺廿载，收获廿载，辉煌廿载！
